| Luna's acting odd suggestions please Well luna has been back from her breeding trip for about 3 days we dont know if they ever "tied" or not but her behavior has me baffled. She sleeps most the day, isnt interested in her food and is still licking herself quite a bit....any suggestions are these good signs that she might be preggers ?

| changing her environment can change her personality for a bit until she gets back into your routine...It would be too early to tell if she is pregnant.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Hang on...she was on a breeding trip (I'm assuming at the stud breeder's house) for 3 days and you guys don't know if they tied or not? Didn't the stud breeder watch them and have them in a controlled breeding environment? Did the stud breeder just leave the dogs alone in hopes they would breed on their own?

| If it didn't take and you have to repeat this, make sure the female and male are not left alone next time because: You need to know the exact breeding dates. You don't want to breed more than once every other day. You don't want to mate more than 3 times (max) every other day. I actually only breed twice because I think it lessens the chance of having premature babies that are too little to survive outside the womb. Don't know about her symptoms meaning pregnancy. Mine are more loving, eat more, not less and I don't think they lick a lot until they are ready to deliver. Good luck and keep us posted. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Is this the stud's first time? How old is Luna? Is it her first time? Sometimes, two novices make for diffulty in breeding and the dogs CAN get frustrated.

| I won't go over things already mentioned above (all true). I do want to mention that I know of a woman who had a terrible incident AFTER a tie....the female got aggressive and bit the male causing pretty serious trauma to the face/head. He couldn't get away because they were tied. I hold both ( with more attention on the females until they calm down after a few minutes) during a tie...the entire time. Injury can occur more ways than one. If she is pregnant, you will notice that her vulva didn't go back to its regular size, but be a little larger. It takes over a month to really be able to see a difference. |

Was there a stud fee involved in this breeding?
