| Female marking? Hi, I am new to this site. I have 2 females and 1 male yorkie. I have bred my oldest female 2 times and she is currently in heat (also she is wearing her doggie diaper). I am not breeding her now, but I am wondering, do females "mark" like males do? I am asking because I have noticed that when I take her on a walk, she stops several times to pee a little bit. It doesn't appear that she is "straining" or anything. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions on this. Also, I was wondering how I would go about finding a stud for my other female. I will not be ready to breed her for about another year but would like to go ahead and get some info on this. Thank you for suggestions and advice. |

| When in heat, they will spread their scent around everywhere. Sometime's they won't even leave a spot, mine even visited next door and rubbed the mat. |

| My cocker is big on marking, luckily only outside of the house. She is constantly peeing a tiny bit everywhere marking her terriotory. She is even spayed and was never bred and is not terriortorial at all except for the marking thing. Some females do and some don't. But if they are in heat, they do tend to mark alot. So yes females do mark, especially when they are in heat.
