| I have only breed larger dogs untill now...... 2nd or 3rd heat and over a year . |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | She's over 5# and is in her 1st heat at 7 months. My vet says next heat, maybe. Since she is the 1st female I haven't spayed, how frequently do yorkies go into heat? I'd heard 2x a year, and now I'm hearing 3x? I'm confused. (nothing new here). Are there cycles every (approx.) 6 months or is it every 4 months?? |

| Maybe she will be ready her next heat. If not, it can't hurt to wait until the 3rd. I just like to make sure my girls are mature enough and have the "puppy-ness" out of their systems. It's really sad to see a young mom with no clue what she is doing because she's still a pup herself. Good luck to you and best wishes! |

| My Bell is in heat every 7 months and Lilly is going to be 8 months old and has never gone into heat yet..
