2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | All white & Merle colored "Yorkies" with Blue eyes? I think Not I was on FB and came across a post asking about the women's "All white Yorkie with the Blue eyes" and I just had to see for myself. I was shocked.... shocked at what this women is trying to say is a full blooded Yorkie. Never in all my years since I became a fan of the breed and researched have I ever seen an all white or Merle coloring with blue eyes or one of each. These are the type of things you'd see in a cattle dog Australian Shepard. Oh and the pups with the wide set eyes and the oblong heads, nothing about these pups says Yorkie to me but I'm no expert. If I had to guess I'd say these were mixed breed pups mixed in with ones with genetic issues but that's just my opinion. Myself I prefer an all natural Pure Breed Yorkie. Just wondering what your thoughts are? colorfulyorkies.com

| All White ?? Merle ?? I appreciate the beauty of a traditional colored parti yorkie. IMO however, I feel that things are getting out of hand. We need to concern ourselves with the quality of the breed rather than how many colors we can create. Keep good temperaments and healthy strong conformations a priority. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Some of those yorkies look like they are crossed w/ Westies. In addition, one has to wonder if she crossed at some point w/ a Pom bc they can have Merle and blue eyes.

Irecently saw an advertisement for Merle colored Yorkies, as if that was something special. Huh? What is that? I used to be somewhat sympathetic towards the Parti breeders who have a good story to back up the color, but I'm losing faith in even that variation. I've had plenty to keep me busy trying to get nice Yorkies within the stated standard. Messing with the gene pool to create new colors is beyond my abilities, or interests.
