I am new here so I am not sure if I am posting in the right section. We are thinking of getting a yorkie. Will an older dog bond with us as much as a puppy would? We thought of getting a dog that is already toilet trained but our son thinks we would be better getting a puppy because he thinks an older dog may be set in the previous owners routine. Any advice is appreciated.

You might try posting in sale or wanted section.
Bonding depends on the dog.. I placed a 2 year old female and she has bonded great with the new owner...Sherry

Welcome! This may do better in the General Discussions area. Most people visit there or the My yorkie section but this would fit best under general discussions. That way, you can get the pros and cons.

Jade and Mitsou were adults when I brought them home and never have had problems with them . The minute they arrived home , they started to bound with me .
