Donating YT 4000 Club Member | X rays are Very safe for pregnant dogs and a MUST do, so you know how many puppies are coming and if her pelvis is big enogh for the puppies to be born normally so you don't have a last minute run for a C-section.. I xray all my expectant bitches by day 58-59. hugs, |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Well I guess every country is different, we do x rays here in the USA, my mentor has been breeding for over 25 years and she x rays all her bitches the same, best of luck, I only ultrasound if I suspect any problems. hugs, |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I agree with Carmen; I x-ray with each pregnancy anytime after day 56. It is not an absolute MUST for many breeders, but I feel much better having a good idea of how many puppies to expect and peace of mind knowing that they will likely be able to fit through the birth canal. Knowledge is power!

I got sonos 2x a month when pregnant with twins, and more often in month 7. Doppler every time, and even x-rays on my cheek and neck. I had a mammogram 7 months pregnant for a mass. Twins are fine, I'm fine. Dogs get xrays when pregnant, momma dogs fine, puppies are fine.

| I always had Xrays done and actually have asked the vet about it since i found out humans could not have xrays during pregnancy ... to be honest it has been so long i asked that i do not remember the exact answer Anyways , we always had Xrays done and it is safe and for us it is mandatory !!! Day 47 to 53 we must and will have an Xray done !!! and that is such a happy day as it is when we find out how many tiny little ones we will be welcoming to this world ! Blessings ! XOXO
