My new mom dog is obsessed with licking the pups privates is this normal she can't help herself that's all she keeps doing been at it for quite a long time please help???Over an hour

It's perfectly normal. That's what the mom has to do to get the little ones to "go."

Why did she get a sarcastic remark right off the bat for her question? It it seriously scary when things go off in the wrong direction. The pups need help at this moment.

Im sorry I didnt see it was a crisis situation untill I read her other post but I do think if shes a breeder she should know the answer to this question. Maybe I just shouldnt have posted it. It just seems like she should be getting this info from her mentor not off the internet

You comment is quite ironic given some of the comments you yourself have made in other threads. (Not that I didn't agree with them...I'm just sayin'.) I guess sarcasm is a matter of perception.

I have to agree with Chachi's point on this one. Reading over the situation the OP has described, seems like there are several serious issues she is dealing with all at once with her female and the pups. These would really be best fielded by a mentor, vet or expeirenced breeder who can be there in person, rather than banking on guesstimations via internet forum. I realize that in a pinch, anything is better than nothing and sympathy is reassuring, but given the situation, hands-on aid is going to be the best option at this point.

It is cool she appologized to me in a private message. I didnt know the Op lost a pup when I poste4 what I did or I wouldnt have. She seems to have alot on her plate right now

Breeding encompasses so much. It's not something one can adequately and completely prepare themselves for via Q & A section on an internet forum. There really is no substitute for live, hands on training with a mentor.
