3 week pregnant yorkie x is hardly eating Hello and thank you for your advice. We have a 2 1/2 yr old yorkie chiuoua x who is 3 weeks pregnant - confirmed by a scan at the vets today. she has hardly been eating for the last 5-7 days and seams to be totally off her food and believe me wwe have tried virtually every type of food to entice her to eat. should i be worried? is this normal for her stage of pregnancy? is there anything you can suggest?

Hey there. I was and still am going through the same thing with my yorkie. She is due tomorrow but hasnt' gone to eat straight dry puppy food for weeks now. Did you try numerous different canned wet? Mixed with her dry? If all else fails...I cooked chicken and rice. She gobbled that up. Oh, my girl is on Merrick food..and they have the puppy as well...and that stuff makes a little gravy when you wet it....she went for that as well. Good luck!

You no how it is for us girls some of us just feel gross about the smell of foods let alone eat it when we are pregnant. You need to baby her and start cooking her chicken sweet potaoes and green beans....you can also give her a multi vitamin and she will gladly eat it with liverworst. I would just leave her favorite dry out and when she is ready she will eat some. But I would swear by pregnant anything and sweet potatoes. Milk comes in great better delivery stronger puppies. You might also want to get her some Kero syrup and pour a Tbsp. or so over her can food and see if that helps. Good luck!
