| ![]() I have two male Yorkies and my friend has a female, we are trying to breed but neither of the males seems to be all that interested... She is currently (1 week past the beginning) in heat now. The first couple of times she didn't really stand still but now they've been together for the last 2 days, and tips or help on getting the male more interested?? ![]() |

| ![]() Your males won't be interested for several more days. Most females are ready somewhere around 10-13 days from starting

| ![]() please do more research before breeding your dogs. have you done all the testing necessary first before you tried to breed you and your friends' dogs? if you really want to start breeding, you need to find a experienced breeder to mentor you. and you also need to first educate yourself on all aspect of breeding yorkies. otherwise you might lose the mom and the pups if you don't know what you are doing. and you might also produce unhealthy puppies with genetic problems. please consider spaying/neutering your dogs. that's what most responsible pet owners who care about their animals do. ![]() there is a breeding section on this forum where you might be able to get some help from experienced breeders. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() My male is not interested until after day 12. He also was a late bloomer. Was scared to death of a female until he was 1 1/2 old. Also pick one male. Do not let both mate her. The can get preganat without a tie.

| ![]() Both dogs have been checked and are fine. We bred them last year and she had 3 males. We want to do it one more time...now.... and it just seems like last time it was a lot easier to get him to go up her, and neither one seems very interested this time around. Just looking for suggestions if there's anything I can do? |
