| My Baby had her Babies! Ohhhhh soooo cute!! Roxy had 4 puppies yesterday! She went into labor starting at midnight, then hard labor at 5:30 and had them all in 2 hours! My first experience as a breeder and I'm oh so loving it! They are darling! 3 girls and 1 boy!!! All are doing very well. I got some info from YorkieRose on docking the tails at 3 days old. I think I can handle it. My husband will be taking momma for a car ride while I "operate" I'm just scared about doing the dewclaws They are soo tiny!! I suspect the father's breeder did the dewclaws herself and it is sorta growing back like a corkscrew I don't want to "mess up" like she did. How in the world do I get those clamps on the tiny dewclaws!? I want to make sure it's done right. |

| Do you put the clamps on the declaws?? I thought you just cut them off and put on the stop bleed stuff.. Good luck, let us know how it comes out.. Your much braver than I , I brought mine to the vet and let them do it.. I would have to watch someone before I would try it myself..

| Thanks everyone! I will be posting more pics very soon. I've seen tail docking and dewclaw removal done before. Clamp and twist from what I've heard is the best method. No bleeding that way. Lucky for me, I can turn my hearing aids off! Otherwise I don't think I'd be able to do it. |
