| ![]() I am a research nerd. It took me almost 2 years to find the breeder I have now. I have two fantastic girls from her and I couldn't be happier with her. I just had my two girls spayed. My husband and I (ok mostly me, but he is supportive) are thinking of getting a dog to show and possibly breed in the next few years. We had been discussing it for a while and then my breeder said we should consider it and also agreed to mentor me. So, here are my questions: What are your favourite "intro to breeding resources" and if you are feeling chatty, "why are they your favourite"? If they are books, where (in Canada) do you think I would be able to find them? Rest assured that I won't be doing this for a few years and I will have an excellent mentor, but I am always looking for things to read! Thanks, Kate Last edited by mkbartz; 01-23-2009 at 09:42 AM. | ![]() I hope you have found a good mentor. Does she show? My favorite source of information is YT and also the internet. I search the internet all the time using google. I know there are videos on breeding, whelping and showing out there but I have never ordered any. Attending dog shows are a great learning tool also. I especially love the Yorkie specialties. |
