I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Lot's of propaganda about it, some good breeders are even afraid of it, and they shouldn't be, but lobbyist for certain agendas have spread so much misinformation.

| Since there was a similar bill introduce in az not to long ago, my pesonal feelings on the issue is that I do not want the government in my business. They already snoop around too much and take too much of my hard earned money. Not only would this bill affect bybrs and mills (which would be a blessing), it will ruin the reputable breeders/exhibitor programs as well. I think there would be more harmful consequenses than good.

| There is getting to be too much government control as it is. This isn't china. I know its not the same as population control, but it would almost be a foot in the door.

| I dont claim to know anything about the law in the US, but if it was mandatory to spay/neuter it would affect those reputable breeders breeding 'in the open' with licences, who want to better the breed - but all those doing it 'behind closed doors' such as puppy mills, would just carry on regardless of the law wouldn't they? Again, I don't know anything about the law, but just a thoughtxx

| Isn't it funny how the government wants to control everything that has to do with dogs but not cats or any other pet. Last time I looked the cat population was more out of control than the dog. I feel like my choice of pet is being picked on.

| This is so true.... the last time I was at our local dog shelter, maybe a year ago there were No puppies and about 6 or 7 dogs. They had a room full of cats. I would say at least 50. Around here, I never ever see signs for free puppies anymore but in just the last few weeks I've seen at least 2, maybe 3 for free kittens. But I do have to say, compared to when I was a kid, there are much less of both. We always adopted from the shelter and at any given time they had litters of puppies and kittens but that does not seem to be the case around here any longer. |
