Just because her stomach does not seem big does not necessarily mean that she is not pregnant. If she is carrying one or two puppies then she may not show up until the time she gives... she may not show if she is a larger size as well. One good sign is if her teats are swollen or enlarged also if she is pregnant her teats will have a dark blue/purple ring around them. Your dog may also seem normal as mine did when she was pregnant... i mean she even ate up to the time she was ready to go. Digging is another sign however this usually occurs with in 12-48 hours of giving birth. They will also become either lazy, more loving or even may become distant to you. She may also get sick here and there but some wont get sick. These are just a few signs of pregnancy that i noticed with mine. We had puppies a little over 3 weeks now. Keep us posted! And good luck if you have any questions please feel free to PM me!

| Many females do not start really showing until quite late. I would think though that if her due date is 10 days away, you would be able to tell by now. Do you plan on having x-rays done? If so, then that is something that you will need to do sometime this week--then you will know for sure. As the previous poster mentioned, she may only be carrying 1 or 2 pups, in which case she won't look big. |

| Have her X-rayed at least 7 days before her first due date. Did you breed her several days apart? If so, you are gonna have a wait and see time on your hands BUT you definitely need an X-ray to see how big and how many there are. An X-ray will show their head size and that will give you an idea if they can be delivered vaginally and that is a big coomfort to know.... Keep us posted.. |
