| Yorkies In Heat & Eating Sofies' in heat and has slowed down eating, I was wondering if U all think it's due to her being in her heat (She's on day 5 as of Sat.) None of our 3 females is being bred this year. Sage & Teddy has also slowed down eating Could it be the change in outside temp? With it warming up outside? I thought it might be due to the heat outside. We've reached 80 a few days here and I've got fans running but not the central air yet. It's warm in the house but not bad. Could it be the weather? I don't know why Teddy and Sage has slowed down eating their food, Sofie I thought it might be her heat cycle. They all act normal, we've not changed any foods or anything. Any thoughts as to why they could be slowing down on eating? Thanks Lee |

| I can't say I "know" why, but with their hormone levels fluctuating it has got to have an affect and why not on eating? Also, I think their minds turn to (how did they used to put it) "flights of fancy" during a heat cycle.

| It may have something to do with being in heat. But my bet is it's more that its getting hot. It was 80 here yesterday and other then my 2 nursing mamas who are eatting me outta house and home. The others just picked at their food
