Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Returned 1 yr old yorkie I just got one of my babies back as the family that got him fell on hard times and I took her back as they cannot keep her any longer. That is what a responsible breeder would do. I will evaluate her training and keep her for a few weeks to see how she acts and get her a physical then look for a new home for her. Her name is Emma and she will be 1 in April. I feel so sorry for the family but I'm happy they are returning her to me as the contract states I get first chance at a puppy the buyer can not keep due to any reason. I'll post pictures later after she is all settled in. That will make 8 dogs for awhile! But Emma will get extra attention so she won't feel abandoned or sad....

| Good for you! I was just talking to someone about this today who bought one of Brooke's pups...she asked if I would really take back a puppy if someone couldn't keep it. My answer was OF COURSE...I would never want my babies to go to anyone else but ME and the people I approve. Thank goodness there are some breeders left who really care about where their puppies go! |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | My husband had to drive 1.5 hours to meet the person and pick up Emma. He just called and he is bring her home. He said she is so sweet and cute and smiles just like her momma. ( Krissy is mom and my husbands favorite!). It was so sad he said Angela really loves her and wants to do the right thing. Sometimes the right thing is letting go. It is so sad but Emma will be taken care of and I will find the right home or just keep her ( 8 furbabies - OH MY) Maybe Hubby can move to the garage...just kidding we will buy a bigger bed!!

| Sounds like hubby really likes this little girl. Bet she ends up being #8. I hope she doesn't get too sad at not having her family now. I'm sure with the other 7, she won't have any time at all to think about it much. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Emma's picture OK here is Emma just minutes after she got home. She is actually smaller than Angela guessed. I weighted her on my postage scale and she is 8.14. She is so cute and sweet. The other dogs met her and were just fine so she is socialized. She is spayed already so I don't need to worry about that. I'm sure she will be a great addition to any family.

| How incredibly sad for the family that had to give her up! But they deserve a big big hug for admitting the situation and doing the right thing for everyone. And they deserve a big hug, b/c I'm sure they'll really miss the sweet girl .

| Aww, she is adorable, what a sweet girl!! Kudos to you for taking her back and for her returning her to you. I think she would fit in great with the rest of your gang. I have it in my contract as well that if at anytime in the dog's life they can no longer keep it, they must return him/her to me. It is my biggest fear that someone won't abide by this part of my contract, I want to know where my babies are and who they are with at all times.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Update! Emma is going to live with her big half sister Wendy. They are picking her up tomorrow. That way she will be with someone I know will take good care of her and have a playmate her size. I think it will work out fine

| A happy ending to a really hard situation. Kudos to the family for recognizing that they could not keep her. I really admire that. Also to you and to her new mom. So glad it worked out.

I would only give full price if the dog was with them less than three weeks. I have taken two dogs back and have only given partical price each time.
