| I always get xrays, no ultrasounds. I just had xrays of Gidget taken on the 16th, her first due date was yesterday the 20th (day 61 by Debbie Jensen's site). Looks like we are expecting 4 babies.

| I do the xrays. I did just do a ultrasound on my French Bulldog. My vet says you can do it at 21 days. I waited until 30 days. We did see 2-3 pups but she couldn't be sure. The ultrasound is not as accurate in my opinion, but you can see much earlier if you can't wait to find out. both the xray and the ultra cost about $85 in my area. Congrats on your upcoming litter. Your dogs are beautiful. |

| Ultrasound at 28 days from the first tie. BUT, it didn't work last time. The doctor told me kandy had three and I kept saying but she always has five. Well, she had five this time, too. So for the first time, my ultrasound was wrong but the other two puppies must have been from the second tie and didn't show up on the 28th day. i don't do x-rays later unless i suspect a problem. my vet doesn't like to x-ray pregnany girls that far along and I am okay with that. |

| Ultrasounds I do ultrasounds and they need to be done after the 28th day of the first breeding, I also do x-rays approx 5 days before the due date and both methods are very accurate |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Hi! yes, I know that But was just curious on who gets "both" and their reasons. I've had both for a pregnancy, but then have only got xrays for the rest. Just curious on what others do and why. |

| I have had 2 llitters and I have not done either. The reason why is I had two mentors before ever breeding and they both did both, always different, different vets and were never accurate. My vet prefers not too unless a problem arises just for that reason. I always read on here that ppl are expecting 3 and get 4... Anyways, I have had two litters and not had either. But, that just my opinion and why. If my vet felt necessary, I would do it for sure, though.
