| I have no first hand knowledge of them and have never heard of them, but found their website, owend by Nancy and Sean Silverman, www.captivakennel.com. (Not to be confused w/ the Captiva Kennels in Canada that breeds Irish Setters and has ceveral CHs to their claim.) There really isn't much info on the site, but it does say that they are breeding several different breeds--Yorkies, Shih Tzus, Poodles, Maltese. That would be a BIG red flag, IMO. Says that they have actively shown since 1998...I would think maybe if that is the case then some of the show breeders here may have heard of them? Maybe you could check w/ some Matlese experts or Shih Tzu owners? |

| Captiva Kennel in CT Captiva Kennel owned by the Silvermans, who also own Puppy Love Pet Store in Danbury CT. Their primary supplier of pups is Hunte Corporation, the largest puppy broker in the country, and most notorious for dealing with puppy mill pups. I would run in the other direction from these people! |
