Hi everyone,

I haven't posted in a while but I just needed to share my new addition. He is an 8 week old Morkie and we named him Jackson. We are in love and he is so well behaved. He loves his crate and slept through the whole night without even making a sound.

Just a question, does anyone else here have a Morkie? I am in love with Jackson's coloring but I am sure the yorkie in him will make him lose his black puppy coat. Any ideas what he might look like, or what do your adult morkies look like?

Aww, he is so cute! My SIL has a Morkie and she has remained black just like that.she is the sweetest little girl. Congrats!

There is no way to predict what a cross bred dog will look like. The resulting offspring have genes from both breeds and you never know they are getting from which parent. It may look more like one breed than the other, or any combination of the two.

Jackson is adorable!

I have a 2 1/2 year old morkie. He has a gray body and tan legs and head. He's very fluffy and has hair like a sheep.

I was going to get a Morkie but I ended up with a shorkie. She touched my heart and I had to take her home. Her name is Zoe and she's 11 months old.

We have a 2 1/2 yr old Morkie-Poo. She is as cute as a button!!

She has a cottony (curly when wet from the poodle) black and tan (yorkie) coat, and is often mistaken for a yorkie were it not for her floppy ears (maltese).

She has a fantastic disposition and is so intelligent. Potty training and 'trick' training was a breeze with her!!!

She is the sparkle in our eyes!

Enjoy your bundle...he's sure to give you lots of love and laughs!!!

I have two morkies. My avatar is my boy Calvin. As you can see his head is all black, well now its silver. His body is black and his legs are brown. We love our two babies to pieces! They both have distinct personalties and they are so lovable! Congrats! Enjoy him!

Not all Yorkies turn silver. My Maddie still has a black body. Does he have a silver spot on his head?

Two of mine are a Yorkie/Maltese mix and are as different as night and day. Bogey has a silkie coat, brown eyes and takes more after a Yorkie in his face~he is totally blonde. Doodlebug has a cottony coat, black eyes and takes more after a Maltese with almost white hair. Neither have black or gray hair like a Yorkie other than the stray hair you will find mixed in with all their blondeness. Really when you have a mix there is no telling what they will look like as an adult. They are in my avatar and are both rescues. Good luck with your new puppy.
