I go to Austin quite often because my best friend and sister-in-law (and families) live there but you'd NEVER catch me driving there when it's icy. Those hills!!! Some of them are doozies even withOUT ice. My nephews just called about an hour ago to tell my kids that they were playing in the snow (in Austin) and to rub it in that we just have nasty sleet and they get snow! I think the last time it snowed in Brenham was around 1996 when my daughter was two. Even then I don't think it was sticking. I'm enjoying the time off work so no complaining here!
