[Doodlebug]

Last night my hubby put 2 packs of rat poison under the shed where the pups can't get to them. We have boards nailed around the shed so they can't get under there. This evening he found one of the packets empty on the hill in the yard where the puppies take their toys to play with them. He found some of the poison pellets scattered on the sidewalk at the bottom of the hill.

The pups were in and out all day. We don't know if they ate any poison or not. The vet did some blood tests and said they looked ok but we need to watch them for 2 weeks for hemorages. He gave them a vitamin K shot and vitamin K pills to take for 2 wks. He thinks they will be ok. The thought that we may have poisoned our own babies makes me sick. Even tho I think they will be ok, I am still shaking. I don't think I will get any sleep tonight after this.
