My old vet keeps them overnight when I requested to bring him home that evening I was told no way! Well I have since changed vets and Peanut is being neutered next Friday. When I spoke to one of the new vets she told me they treat a lot of yorkies and not to worry about Peanut. She also said there is no need to keep them overnight it is routine. We will see when I drop him off next week and they have to pry him from my arms.
