I have found 2 breeders in the NYC area, Pupstory (homebredpuppies.com) and Vanity Pups (vanitypups.com). There is a great breeder in Paterson, NJ named Guy Garner (973-652-7758), he came with excellent recommendations from Puppyfind.com. There are a lot of breeders in the city, I just can't see paying $1000 and up for a puppy. I got my first one from a breeder in NC for a very reasonable price, she was wonderful, but that's a long drive now for a puppy. Hope this helps.
