I am not sure about a trainer leash, unless they mean choke collars, which do just that, choke the dog until they relax and quit pulling against it. I only use collars on my furkids for their id tags and rabies tags. For walks and going places and stuff, I use harnesses. I just feel it is safer and I won't attach a leash to their collar.
