Post Completely A Myth

A colored tongue- REGARDLESS of color -gives no indication of a purebred or a mix breed lineage. None.

I have a Black Russian Terrier that has a black (no, not blue) patch on the roof of her mouth as well as on the far back of her tongue. She is a documented purebred going back at least 12 generations. Alongside a few Akitas that I show, they too will have black pigment within the mouth or on the tongue (rarely) and this is not an indicator that there is a breed within the lineage (wayyyyy far back maybe before the breed ever went on the books as a "purebred") that typically is known for pigment on the tongue or mouth like: Shar-Pei; Thailand Ridgeback; Chow

So no. It means nothing w/ regards to purity of lineage.
