I've been a more quiet member of this board for a while but I think you guys are so awesome, and no better place than to ask opinions here.

I have new neightbors who for WHATEVER reason own pitbulls that not only never shut up, something about their general presence makes SImon lose his doggy mind.

I've gone next door and introduced myself, mentioning that I noticed they had large dogs who - while wagged their tails at me.... were growling at the same time. This made me think these are mental animals.

Even though the neighbors have a large dog run within the backyard, they don't put the pits into it. It's not my place to tell them to but... Simon and Delilh (Deeds is not a yorkie) have a doggie door so they can come and go as they please, which is fair for well behaved dogs who aren't aggressive nor get into trouble.

These dogs constantly stand at my fence... staring at Simon like they wonder if he would be better in BBQ sauce or ranch. It scares the crap out of me and I can't imagine what I'd do if I came home to find that sort of thing. Simon Pickle is 6 pounds... a little ball of typical yorkie personality who is very much not likely to back down if these animals go nuts enough to come into my yard.

I am daily watching the fence integrity, but everyday since they've moved in I can't stop worrying while I'm away at work. It would not be fair to lock my animals inside, and I worry about fires and things if I did. They are good dogs, I don't feel I should punish them, but don't really have a good reason other than concern for my babies to go next door again and say something. Advice?
