I'm late to this thread but our Baci was first diagnosed with Calcium Oxalate bladder stones in February. He had surgery to remove them only to have a reoccurrence this past August (6 months later!) We took him to a specialist here in Los Angeles and of course they put him on the Science Diet U/D and he HATED IT! He ate it for 2 days and became constipated, bloated, anxious and nervous. He stopped eating after those 2 days and proceeded to chew his paws, eat paper, twigs, leaves, dirt and wood. So we called the specialists and they told us to switch him to Royal Canin S/O and he loves it! We went back for a recheck a couple of weeks ago and the ultrasound showed NO stones but the urinalysis did show crystals! We are at our wits end and would love to know if there are any
supplements, vitamins, or "extras" that we can add to his food that might help in not allowing those crystals to form stones. We changed him over to distilled water and he is drinking MUCH more water now than in the past. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.
