I forgot about spay/neuter, and the cost of grooming. We groom at home, full coats. Although I didn't need to invest in clippers (about $200?), we spend a lot on shampoo and conditioner annually. More than the products for my hair.
Neutering is less than spay -- we paid about $350 - $375.
