Spaying and micro chipping are so important. My first two females I could not bear to have them under go surgery, they were just babies. I never had them spayed, one at 14 y/o the other at 11 y/o died from Pyometra , their uterus erupted, puss went through their blood lines, one suffered for 9 days after a full hysterectomy at age 14 y/o, she just about died beore my eyes, something I would never want anyone to see their beloved baby go through, my 11 y/o went through the same thing 6 months later, she lived for 6 months after full hysterectomy. All my females after that were spayed. So you are not a mean mommy, you are a terrific mommy for spaying.
