I would definitely take him to the Vet as it sounds like he may have an bladder infection or issue if he always held it and now can't. I do know that members have helped slide their Yorkie's "lipstick" back into the tube. It dries out and becomes harder to slide back in if it stays out. Best wishes to you and Alfie.
