I saw a comment on the other thread about the National Zoo and the conditions there. Apparently outsiders had to be brought in to tell them what they were doung wrong, including Dr. Remillard.   |
I was avoiding this thread because I assumed it was about the second giraffe. The subject came up yesterday with my dad and he informed me about the lions. My first thought was like yours, that the Copenhagen zoo was sickly relishing the controversy.
I did not know Dr. R was part of the team who exposed all of the bad conditions at the National Zoo. That place is a disaster still and should be shut down. I'll never forget the documentary about one of the baby pandas and the one caretaker gleefully stating that the humans were better equipped than the momma panda to take care of the baby. How backwards is that?!
