My vet said alot of the information and complaints about Revolution being ineffective for heartworms comes from the fact that the med was not applied properly. It must go directly onto the skin, and the entire ampule must be dispensed onto the dog. My vet will have people do demonstrations of applying their Revolution about twice a year, just to be sure they are applying it correctly. I have used it for years and no heartworms, or any of the other issues this one medication covers. If your pup is 1 lb or less over 10 lbs, I would use the 5-10....if pup is over 1# over 10#, go up to 10-20#....check with your vet.
