As for the nails we use some tiny cat claw cutter to trim Gracie's nails. I have someone hold her while I cut. With warm weather coming I will be getting the dremel out again. After cutting the nail we round it off so if she puts her nails on our legs it does not feel like we are being cut with the sharp points.

We just don't have a real barking problem. Not that she does not enjoy barking but she does know what "no" means. If she gets carried away while she is playing I will tell her "enough!" and that usually stops it. If not we go to "No!" and then "sit!." I have heard of spraying with water and all the rest but teaching your dog some basic commands is just so much easier in the long run.
