One thing to keep in mind is that just about all pet foods have recalls and go through some kind of problem but its about how they handle it that really counts. Home cooking is really a great option just make sure you are giving them a supplement if you go that way. Fromm is a really good dog food maybe you should try that one? I have Callie on Wellness Core Small breed and am very happy with it right now.
