My first instincts tell me she may have picked up on your uneasiness about the stranger and the new dog.

Don't have your feelings hurt.... all (or most, except for the super well trained) dogs will bite once they reach a certain level of excitement and they're intent on doing what they're doing.

Dogs live in the present, her bite I believe was more a reaction to your action of trying to interupt her behavior.
