I think I read on here or somewhere that it can, but I also read some conflicting information that said no. I have stored mine in the freezer before and it worked, but I bought a Gamma Vittles Vaulhttp://www.petfooddirect.com/product/2461/Gamma-Vittles-Vault-Airtight-Square-Pet-Food-Storage-Containert to store mine as it took so much room in my freezer.
