 3 little girls born yesterday!
My 3 yr. old, Mercedes, had her 1st litter yesterday. She had 3 girls.
If you read the thread somewhere below ("45 days pregnant and being picky with food!"), you will learn that I did not expect her to have them for another 2 weeks or so. I totally miscalculated! In that thread, I share more details of the whelping and how it went.
Before pregnancy, Mercedes weighed 5 lbs. and weight at vets before puppies born was 6 lbs. 5 oz. (Maxwell, the daddy, is 6 lbs.)
Puppy #1 was born at 1 pm and weighed 4 oz., puppy #2 was born at 2:19 pm and weighed 4.2 oz., and puppy #3 was born at 3:10 pm and weighed 4.2 oz.
Momma and all 3 girls are doing great!
I just wanted to share pics with everyone. The pics of Mercedes are before pregnancy. Didn't want to upset her by posting pics of her now without a chance for her to get cleaned and all prettied up. :-) |
