Absolutely...'terrier' derives from 'terra'...meaning 'earth'. It's actually cute watching the little darlings, silky, shiny, hair glowing and blowing from the movement, bows in their hair...front paws just going at it, dirt flying everywhere, piling up behind them, huge hole opening up in front, little precious faces packed with dirt up to the eyebrows...which snaps me right to the OMG...and that's when the cute wears off 'cuz it's just become bath time!

Mine also dig at cushions, blankets, rugs, towels, etc...anything and everything.
