I just joined YorkieTalk today and wanted to introduce myself. I'll do my best to keep this brief.
I went through a very nasty divorce 4 1/2 years ago and found myself in a woman's shelter without a friend or a dog. As soon as I could get out on my own I adopted a Yorkie with issues from a local shelter. Taz had been a puppy mill breeder and even suffered a dislocated jaw in an attempt to quiet his barking while caged. He was in the animal shelter for 6 months and trusted no one. We needed each other and worked through the rough patches together.
We moved to Montana 3 years ago and Taz thought it was time to bring in a buddy. We adopted Jiggs from a shelter out here and he has fit in well.
The boys are my family and best friends. I have never had a Yorkie in my life before this. They are "forever toddlers" but I love it. I'm really looking forward to being part of this community and getting to know everyone.
