I think that's fairly common where a Yorkie will sort of attach itself to one family member or another, sometimes not the person you want it to be attached to! I've heard lots of stories around here where the dog favors hubby or the wife.

But I think with time, she can learn to show affection to everyone in the house equally. Just pick some activities that you alone do with her. Maybe an evening walk. Or some play time in the yard. Be consistent, so it's something she looks forward to.

Feeding is another thing. Make sure your Mom isn't the only one doing the feeding. You don't have to take over ALL the things your Mom does, just mix it up so the dog knows it's really on both of you. I think that since you had a previous close relationship with the dog, it will remember pretty quickly that you're fun to snuggle with too.
