From what I know as a novice (please research and look up everything yourself and talk to your vet) who reads too much and goes into the vets with a list of questions from research.
Heart worm meds I give mine monthly
Worming are yearly not monthly-that's dangerous.
However if you give a heart worm med that prevents the common types of worms, you only need to do a fecal yearly and then treat as needed...some vets may say de-worm yearly.
If your pup came with worms this changes it all and your vet is basing it on a positive worm result prior.
