The pup will be part of your home for many many years, try to make sure you have a good match.
If you were wanting a tiny tiny pup because of image I would wonder, but you would be happy with the larger end of standard which is 7 lbs. Also, I understand your reasons for wanting a puppy that is not too large nor too small. No one can be 100% of a puppy's size.. but there are some guidelines and your guy will be larger than 8 lbs.

Thank you for understanding! I just want them both to be happy and loved. I know how my pom can be. Very saddened that he is going to be bigger than what I was told :-(
