Default bad haircut experience

About two weeks ago, I took my little one to a different groomer. PetSmart charges $45 to do her hair, not including the tip. That week I didn't really have the extra, but she was overdue. So I found this womans business card at a local business and decided to give her a call, $25 was all she was charging. When I dropped her off she seemed friendly, but Chloe was scared to be around her. She kept coming towards me, and the woman said that I needed to go so she could get more comfortable with Chloe. 2 Hours later when picking her up she seemed fine, however she didn't do the cut as I asked, it was alot shorter, but that will grow.

However, Chloe was biting all day and attached to just myself. I couldn't leave her with ANYBODY, even those shes been around on a daily basic. The groomer told me she had shaved down her pads, I didn't understand why she would do such a thing but blew it off and didn't ask any other questions. I started to notice she could barely walk on her paws, she hated the cold, and soon began to pee inside after letting her out. She was rebelling. This haircut scared her. So I went to petsmart and asked why they would do such a thing, and they said that they only do that to dogs with callus's.

So I was wondering if any of you had that done to your dogs and if you have noticed a change in their temper. Please let me know. Thanks!
