[QUOTE=momofreese]Hi:

That was a few months ago and I kept checking back but never saw that she was ready for adoption until your post. On the post it said that she was ready and could be adopted to a person with one or two quiet dogs. We would be perfect for her. I was wondering if you were familiar with the process, since it did not show an adoption link on her post. I did email them to make sure that they still had our application on file, but noted that they would not be back till Jan 3rd. I am glad they are taking vacation time but do hope that they check their email and do in fact still have our application. Thanks so much for posting her story. It is a very sad story, and she is so adorable and sweet, and seems to be coming along nicely. Hopefully she will end up with a family ( like ours, or ours, LOL) and live the life that she deserves.

Just so you know any good rescue will shut down over the Holiday season as this is not the time to get a new puppy or even older dog. Many times people get dogs for Xmas gifts and are doing it on an impulse during Xmas. It is also very stressful for the dog to come into a home with so much going on during the Holidays with people over or people going away from home. Hopefully you have read where some of our excellent breeders have said, "they won't sell a puppy" during this time either. It is just not good for the puppy.

Do not be discouraged because of this but remember rescue's first consideration is what is the best for the dog. This upsets alot of people because they feel they are the best. The foster family knows how these little ones are and each foster has the ideal situation in mind.

I do not think I have to repeat what other members have said about the sad situation our country is in with the hugh overpopulation of animals and the cruelty these puppy mills are producing.
