Just wanted to add that because he is newly removed from his Mom and littermates and that being a few weeks too soon, be sure to keep him warm. You could put a heating pad (set on 'Low' only) under one end of a kennel (one with a bottom) to give him a warmer spot to lay in if he prefers.
Also, you should be seeing signs of improvement, if not, his antibiotic may need to be changed. Call your vet to discuss any concerns because with pups this young, you don't want to take any chances, and it is always better to be overly cautious with them. Always finish all medications unless told to stop by your vet.
If you think (or know) that other people (including your vet) are going to think you're a little strange regarding your care of your pup, that's about where your level of concern should be... or up a few notches even. (and don't worry about what other people think either) |
