It will be hard to say if the parents are purebred yorkie or maltese; because if the breeder is mixing the breeds anyway; it won't much matter. You should not be concerned if the parents are purebred or not because you are not purchasing a purebred puppy. You are purchasing a mixed breed that will not be registered or recognized by the AKC. So if AKC registered is important to you; you might want to think twice.
It's going to be hard to say what the black/brown/gold will turn into as your puppy matures; because when you mix the two breeds together; you cannot be sure what traits of which breed will be dominant.
For sure, I have seen some adorable Morkies; I have also seen one that was pure orange in color. That time, the mixing of the two breeds did not turn out well.
Whatever you decide, I hope your puppy is everything you have wanted.
