We thought it sounded like a "big" name, like one when you called it you'd expect a big rottie to come running. Memphis was brought home to his two black lab "brother and sister" so we thought he should have a big name to fit in with the big dogs (help him think big). Little did I know Yorkies don't need any help thinking big...lol!
Our choice had nothing to do with Memphis, Tennessee although we would like to go there some day.
