Children's Benadryl is fine. You need to keep her from running and jumping, she can open up the sutures with too much strenious activity. Activity should be kept to a minimum. Did your vet provide pain meds? They usually don't need it past the first couple of days. But, vets usually ask you to give it to keep activity down.
