It's never too early to start working with them on pedicures. Just trim the very tips off. A baby that young the quick will be close to the end of the nail so you don't want to cut too much off. Just enough to blunt the tip so it'll quit catching on everything. And remember LOTS of praise for DJ when he cooperates and lets you trim him. If he fusses too much and doesn't want to sit still for all his little toes to be done at once, do one or two today, another couple tomorrow, more the next day, etc. until he gets used to it and will let you do more. I'd have some Quickstop handy just in case you clip too much off. You'll want to stop any bleeding ASAP.
