I have to say that if you are sure that you are not going to show hime there is no reason to take all the time and energy to wrap him. You can still keep his hair long... I have a little girl that is just about in full coat and I just band the areas that are likely to get tangled or soiled, I also keep her clean and brushed. No reason IMO to put either one of you through that.
