Ha - yes, Bailey has two stares - the first is a form of begging "aww look at me - I'm so cute - can I have a cookie, please?"
And the second is an intense stare - when she'll physically get between me and what ever I'm doing (tv, computer, quilting) with this serious look on her face. I've decided that its begging too - just on a more serious level. Maybe she's just trying to talk to me telepathically?
I too, have heard that staring is a dominance thing - but that's not the case with Bailey.
